The Biogen brand was born in 2004. Having started with a limited range of four products (Iso-Protein, Nitro Gain, Phenadrine and Creablast) the brand has expanded to three premium product ranges, namely Pro-series (nutrition, fitness, bodybuilding and slimming), Endurance Series (energy, performance and recovery), and Platinum Series (vitamins, minerals, herbal and anti-ageing). Collectively there are now over 60 products under the Biogen brand, and we are still growing.
The Pro Series includes nutritional supplements, slimming / weight management as well as drug-free performance enhancing products. This incorporates all our protein powders (100% Iso-Whey, Nitro Protein), meal replacements / nutrition drinks (Nitro-Plex, Isolean), as well as mass gainer shakes (Nitro Gain Mass All-in-one and Nitro Gain 45/84). The slimming / weight management products includes Phenadrine Xtra, Phenadrine Stimulant free, CLA 3000 and CLA Hoodia, as well as the Thermo Thin range of products. Our performance products include L-Glutamine, Ultra Pump, Creatine Ultra CEE, Creatine Ultra Load, Testogen, ZMA Testo, Ketodrine and Aminogen.
Our comprehensive Endurance Series was launched in 2005, and now consists of Carbogen (Energy drink and electrolyte replacement), Cytogen (Lasting energy and recovery drink), Energy Gels (Short term energy kick in a single serving sachet) and Cramp Prevent (magnesium based supplement to prevent muscle cramping). The Biogen endurance series range has rapidly become a house-hold name and sponsor for many leading athletes around South Africa. 2007 then saw the launch of the Biogen Platinum Series, which comprises a fantastic variety of vitamins, minerals, herbal and anti-aging products. This vast range caters for a number of needs such as daily multi-nutrient, anti-oxidants, vitamin-B and C, essential fatty acids, bone and joint support, as well as natural anti-depressants and natural anti-biotics.

Biogen uses the top contract manufacturers in the country to produce its range of sports supplements and vitamins ensuring consistent, superior quality. All raw materials are tested prior to them being ordered by the manufacturer each month. Furthermore independent SANAS Accredited Laboratory tests are performed on a monthly basis to make sure that the completed Biogen products are in line with label quantities.
